Slime!

What started off as a spontaneous activity in middle of an art table ended in loads of fun and play!
I had intended to create another medium for the children to stamp their dreidels and mold Chanukah items.
The children took it away!!!!!!!
Aiden measured 2 cups of liquid starch and poured it in.
Slowly the children began to join.  Amanda adds the glue.
The children used their strength to press really hard on the glue bottles to get all the glue out!
It was a challenge!
First the children added the glue

Sammy begins to mix it.  The children are amazed at how the glue jells up!
We learn that sometimes we may need to add to a recipe.  We add some glue.
.

After choosing our colors: blue and red, the children dig their hands in to mix!

Amanda loving it!

The children are amazed what they can do with it!
The next day, Hannah uses the slime to create a beautiful piece of art using material from the art area.
Take a deeper look at the picture: everyone involved with their own interest.
The most popular object eh children created was jump ropes!
The children explored how much their slime can stretch and then created bracelets on the way back up!
