Hamantashen Baking


Collecting our ingredients

Reading the recipe from the cookbook
Pouring and measuring the oil
Pouring and measuring the sugar
Adding it to the bowl
Mixing
Cracking the egg
" I cracked it!"
Adding the egg to the bowl
Measuring and adding the flour
Measuring and adding the baking powder
Measuring and adding vanilla
Mixing
Kneading and forming the dough
Rolling the dough not to thick and not to thin


Using cup molds to form circles
The children followed directions and took just a spoonful of Jam after choosing which flavor
they wanted to use to fill their Hamantashen.
The children formed the Hamantashe by folding the corners to create a rectangular shape like Haman's hat.
We learned that we hide the filling just like Hashem hides and we can't see him, but we know he's there just
like in the story of Purim.  Hashem didn't let Haman hurt the Jewish people.
