Play Based Learning

Our tea parties continue!
"I'm going to make Tinker Bell in her house!"
Aiden: I will paint Tinker Bell.
The children were so excited to be greeted by Hannah's horses donation to our classroom.  We measured their heights, lined them up and lots of dramatic play.
The horses come everywhere with us: block area, manipulative area, outdoors.....

The packaging box is the biggest hit!

Take notice of the number 1 Sammy sewed for her baby brother's first birthday.
Using shapes to trace and create.
They join us as we sew our ABC letters. Morah Mimi modeled the in and out method for us.  We will continue to work on this skill.  Using the ABC to sew lead into discussion about the letters and what words begin with the letters they were working on.

Jordy using the rubber bands to form numbers on our boards.

Beading
Forget the stampers....handprints!
Using pattern boards to create shapes and patterns.

The she begins to be creative and use them in other ways.  She wraps the jar in rubber bands.
There's an assortment of material always ready for creativity.
